The first official trailer for DC's Suicide Squad has dropped and it is hard not to love it. It does a fantastic job of setting the tone of the movie and introducing the characters without revealing much about them other than their looks. At the same time, there is a wonderful version of the song "I Started A Joke" playing in the background and it enhances this trailer in so many ways and helps build the eventual Joker reveal.
When the list of characters that would be appearing first came out, two names stood out to most fans: The Joker and Harley Quinn. And then the casting for said characters were announced and people began paying even closer attention to the project. But then, images of the cast began emerging and while people were absolutely loving Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, there wasn't a lot of enthusiasm for Jared Leto's look as The Joker. The way this trailer was put together almost seems as though it was made for the sole purpose of demonstrating to us that these two iconic characters were done right.
While we see a lot of different shots of the entire squad, Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn is quickly made the center point of this trailer. There is no real introduction to any of the characters, we don't even hear their names or what their mission is going to be, but being over a year away from the release of this movie, it doesn't even matter. Towards the last minute of the trailer we begin to see quick, little glimpses of The Joker that set up his reveal. It begins with an unmistakable, maniacal laugh that will bring shivers down the spine of many hardcore fans. And then we see him, and with two lines Jared Leto lets us know that his creepy rendition of this iconic character will not be easily dismissed. With just two lines, the fear that this version of The Joker will fail was put to rest. Instead, we will now fear The Joker himself.

It has been five years since Guillermo del Toro’s original hit theaters, but Pacific Rim is finally back. Pacific Rim: Uprising is directed by Steven S. DeKnight, the man behind Marvel’s Daredevil series, and stars John Boyega as Jake Pentecost. Joining Boyega are fellow newcomers Scott Eastwood as Nate Lambert and Cailee Spaeny as Amara Namani. Burn Gorman, Charlie Day and Rinko Kikuchi return to reprise their roles from the original film. If you’ve never seen the original, don’t worry, Pacific Rim: Uprising does a well-enough job at filling the audience in on the events leading up to this film. Uprising picks up 10 years after the events of the original and it sets up a world that is still rebuilding after the devastating events from the war against the Kaiju. The film wastes no time in introducing the troublemaking Jake, son of fallen hero Stacker Pentecost. After running into trouble with the law, Jake is forced to train a new generation of Jaeger pilots in order...
